A thousand-year story
The origins of the Palais are linked to the medieval memory of Villar Focchiardo, to ancient documents and to structures that can still be read today. It was a noble residence, a place of passage, refuge and defence.
Restored with a conservative approach, it preserves the authentic character of its rooms, objects and atmosphere.
Every stone tells a story. Every room keeps a secret.
The legend of the White Child
According to the local story, in the nineteenth century a child died after falling from the internal stone staircase.
Since then, her memory has been associated with the Palais: light footsteps, whispers and fleeting impressions.
